How to pass the lockdown with minimum damage to your body
During the coronavirus outbreak many of you for the first time have been working from home and since March this has been your new normality. And now you found yourself with a laptop, on the dining table and an uncomfortable chair and in addition to that you work out of your normal working hours.
This work-from-home has obliterated your Work-Life Balance and you feel overworked, stressed, and keen to get back to your office and to your normal life. Thus, in these difficult times it is important to look after your mental health and take good care of your body.
With chiropractic care we can help you improve your musculoskeletal health, and reduce your back and neck pain, which impacts your daily function and quality of life. The chiropractic adjustment affects the function of the body by increasing joint mobility, decreasing nerve tension and promotes healing of the surrounding muscles and other soft tissues. Therefore, many patients report feeling improvements in other areas of their general health and overall wellbeing.
There are also some small things you can do from home to help yourself get through this second lockdown:
- Remember to take regular breaks to stretch, even whilst you are sitting, walk around the house to “wake” up your body. Schedule a 15 minute yoga workout during your lunch break or even go for a run to get some fresh air and to change the environment.
- Instead of ordering delivery food, buy fresh ingredients and try to cook one of your grandmother’s recipes, or a dish from your favourite restaurant. Because cooking engages our senses and it’s a way to relieve stress and boost your mood.
- Tonight don’t stay up till late working or watching TV, but try to go to bed early to get a good night’s sleep and wake up energetic for the next day.
- And don’t forget to visit your chiropractor for your relaxing adjustment!
