I had had other health problems such as dizziness and floatiness; I felt like I was on another planet. I’d had attacks of chest pains and breathlessness for some time. I also had terrible tiredness which together with the head pain really stopped me in my tracks. I didn’t want to go out of the house. In fact, I remember I was on holiday in Spain in September last year where I was constantly dizzy and in pain. Shortly after I returned, I collapsed two times in one day. I was taken to hospital the second time and everything seemed to be in slow motion and I couldn’t get my words out. It was really frightening. I would get a pain from my neck down my right arm and it would go numb and shake. They thought I’d had a stroke. Then they thought I had a blood clot but all the scans were clear. I was left up in the air. My blood pressure was up and down so they told me to just take aspirin. I was also on ibuprofen® for the pain. My chest pains came back and I later read that this was one of the possible effects of taking ibuprofen®. I came here (to the chiropractor) in June this year as a last resort. I didn’t know what to do. I was constantly on and off work with sickness, especially the dizziness. I started care and within a week the pains in my head went – it was a vast improvement. I wasn’t half as tired. It lifted me. Within a fortnight the sciatica had gone and I stopped taking painkillers. The dizziness improved and I was able to get on a lot better with everyday things. I haven’t had any more chest pains or breathlessness. I tell people now that chiropractic is not for your back, it’s for your total wellbeing. For things you wouldn’t think about – not just spine problems. I tell them but I don’t think they believe that it can really benefit and change your life. For example, If I’m at the fitting room at work they are always saying “My back is killing me” I tell them “Well go to a chiropractor.
